Instructions Not Included

Hey! Our recommendation for this week is Instructions Not Included  starring Eugenio Derbez and Loreto Peralta. This movie talks about this guy named Valentín (Derbez) WHO has been always a rather fearful man, afraid of everything from heights to spiders. He grows up to be Acapulco's local playboy and sleeps with every tourist that crosses his path. One day a former fling named Julie shows up at his doorstep with a baby girl, claiming that she is his daughter. Julie leaves the baby with Valentín as she goes to pay the carfare, but she doesn't come back. Valentín leaves Acapulco and goes to Los Angeles with the baby, Maggie, to find Julie, and ends up jumping out of a hotel presidential suite into the pool 10 stories below, rescuing his daughter. A movie director witnesses this event and hires Valentín as a stuntman which Valentín has no other choice but to accept since it would be the only way he can maintain his daughter. An unlikely father figure, Valentín raises Maggie for six years, giving her a happy, fun, and carefree home, while also establishing himself as one of Hollywood's top stuntmen to pay the bills, with Maggie acting as his on-set coach. As Valentín raises Maggie, she forces him to grow up too in his large fears, though he does it only for her own fun. But Maggie wishes to meet her mother, so Valentín goes to his director, and look for a "Julie", only to realize that the real Julie wants to meet. Julie shows up out of the blue,and tries to blend in to the family, only for Valentín to be given an order to give custody from Maggie to her. At the same time, Valentín discovers that there May be a problem with Maggie for a while back. Valentín ends up losing custody of Maggie, but decide to go back to Acapulco the same way 6 years earlier. When Julie finds out, she almost has to force Valentín's director for their location, only for her to find out about Maggie's condition. The film ends with the three staying and Maggie dying in her sleep, and that Valentín walks across the beach, remembering what had occurred.
